This class has its foundation in CAPPA Childbirth Education principles, coupled with Evidence Based Birth. I provide a thorough curriculum that covers the final trimester through the early postpartum period. You will finish this class with the knowledge and tools that you need to enter into labor with confidence! My privates classes feel like conversations and allows for me to focus on a particular family's needs and questions.

This class is designed to teach you everything you need to know about breast-feeding your newborn. We will review the benefits of breast-feeding, understanding the components of breastmilk, supply and demand, all about the latch, nipple care and learning breastfeeding positions that go beyond the traditional. I will answer questions such as how often do I breast-feed, how long should babies stay on the breast, how do I know baby is getting enough milk? I will teach you burping techniques as well as review some of the challenges that might arise with breast feeding. I will touch upon pumping and partner involvement as well as making suggestions for nursing stations. I will finish up with Q&A. You will come away being fully informed and knowledgeable about all things breast-feeding.

This class is designed especially for mothers that are choosing to bottle feed their babies from the start. In this class you will learn everything you need to know about the options for which bottles are best for a baby, what formulas are recommended, how to pump if you’re intending to use breastmilk as well as cleaning bottle/pump parts, proper guidelines for storing breastmilk and proper guidelines for mixing and storing formula. You will learn paced bottle feeding for the newborn. You will come away from this class being fully informed and knowledgeable about all things bottles/pumps/breastmilk and formula!

All new parents are handed their tiny newborn to take home upon discharge from the hospital. It’s at this moment, or very shortly after that they start to think… NOW WHAT?
In this class “Newborn Care” you will learn all the answers to your many questions. How do I feed my baby? Will I ever sleep again? What if my baby starts to cry? What swaddle works best? How do I bathe and diaper my baby? What are the best products to have on hand when we get home from the hospital? During this class all your questions will be answered and you will leave feeling confident and capable of caring for your newborn during their first few weeks and months of life.
