The actual birth of a child is the most memorable and meaningful experience that a family will have. Making the transition from the hospital or birthing center to the home can be challenging with the mother recovering from birth and the family adjusting to a new sleep (or lack of) schedule. New families often underestimate how overwhelming this transition can be. I will be there to care for you and your family as you recover. My work focuses on bringing families a sense calm and confidence as they face the joys, obstacles and challenges of having a baby. I am dedicated to making this time a positive experience. As a mother of 4 adult offspring and 4 grandchildren I bring with me years of experience both as a mother/grandmother and certified birth worker. I’m passionate about my work and am blessed each day I am with my clients.
I teach 4 pre-birth classes to help prepare you for this life changing experience.

As your postpartum doula I will care for you and your family as you rest and recover. Whether you're becoming a parent for the first time or growing your family I will be there to support you and help you navigate this journey. I will help in the kitchen, do newborn laundry and nursery organization, run errands and do grocery shopping if needed. I provide lactation education and support, bottle feedings, instruction on pumping and milk storage guidelines, infant care and newborn hygiene education as well as support with infant soothing techniques.
I also provide overnight care as sleep is vital to a mother's physical and mental well being. I can take over complete care of your baby at night if you are bottle feeding. If you are breastfeeding I bring the baby to you to nurse and then I take over complete care after nursing; diapering, swaddling and soothing, allowing you to get much needed recovery sleep and healing. I am available 24/7 by text and email.

I will be there to guide you in the process. From experience, I can assure you that things will go much smoother than you can imagine and your entire family will benefit as you watch your baby/child learn to sleep with less help from you. With a customized sleep plan and my support, the process works and the results are life changing.
