•Growing up people called me Florence Nightingale because I was always taking care of others.
•I grew up in a home the youngest of 3 girls.
•I played with Barbie’s for so long that my mother thought I would take them to college with me! Today my grandchildren play with all of my original Barbie’s, clothing and accessories on sleepovers.
•In high school my best friend and I ran a vegetable and fruit coop. Our mothers and all their friends were our loyal customers.
•I always wanted to be a pediatrician but wasn’t encouraged to peruse that dream. So after volunteering at the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center at 15 years old I decided to become a Physical Therapist. I graduated BU, School of Allied Health and went to CPMC in NYC where I practiced as a Physical Therapist. I specialized in rehabilitation with stroke and spinal cord individuals.
•I am a traditional album maker and have completed hundreds of albums for family and friends. During my 10 years as a Creative Memories consultant running a booming business my favorite saying was, “A picture is worth a thousand words but a picture with no words is worthless.”
•I ran the Houston Marathon in under 6hrs while breastfeeding a 2 year old and being pregnant.
•I’ve lived in Ct, NYC, Houston Tx and Boston.
•I have 4 adult offspring (my greatest accomplishment to date) and 4 grandchildren
(💗💙💗💙) My greatest joy by far is my family!!!
•I’ve had 2 hospital births and 2 home births. All 4 births were remarkable, though after my 3rd and 4th births I realized the support I received with birth doulas and postpartum doulas allowed me to fully recover while feeling supported and nurtured.
It was then that I knew I would eventually work in the birth field.
